RAFTING THROUGH THE GRAND CANYON

AUGUST 26, 2021

9 Hours Continuing Education includes 1 Hour of Ethics

Presented by the American Institute for Continuing Medical Education (AIMED)

“The conference will be led by Adrienne Panter, PsyD. Adrienne has over 25 years of experience as a whitewater river guide, leading multi-day wilderness river trips in the Western United States. Her dissertation studied the effects of an immersive nature experience, in the form of a 16 day river trip through the Grand Canyon, in the lives of participants. She has been a travel guide on numerous international trips with Creativity and Madness. She is a NOLS alumni (National Outdoor Leadership School).”

We will begin the conference at the Cliff Dweller Lodge in Marble Canyon on the evening of August 25, 2021, where we will spend the night prior to launching on the river the following morning. That evening, we will enjoy our first dinner together as a group along with a brief orientation. The next morning, we will meet after breakfast and everyone will be provided with “dry bags” that will be used for the duration of the trip to carry personal luggage. Then our group will be shuttled to the river put in at Lee’s Ferry, where everyone will be outfitted with life jackets, and receive a thorough river and safety orientation prior to launching. The price of the conference includes dinner and lodging at the Cliff Dweller Lodge, all meals on the river, camping kits for use on the river, and the helicopter and fixed wing aircraft shuttle out of the canyon at the end of our trip, as well as 9 hours/credits of continuing education (CME/CE).”
